I took up serious photography in 2008, becoming a member of Dorking Camera Club.
After a short time and being mentored by a wonderful photographer, I obtained my Licentiateship of the Royal Photographic Society in 2010 and in 2011 I was awarded my Associateship. You can see my successful Associate panel on this website.
Having moved house I became a member of Guildford Photographic Society in 2016 and joined the Committee as their Membership Secretary.
I specialise in all things creative, especially architecture and flower photography, but also have a love of all wildlife and nature. I have been known to be up to my knees in smelly ponds at 5am, photographing the metamorphosis of dragonflies. A recent experience of witnessing the birth of a wildebeest was definitely a highlight in my wildlife photography.
Having injured my wrist a few years ago, I was forced to get rid of my DSLR equipment as I was no longer able to hold the heavy lenses. I am now a strong devotee of the micro four thirds system and love my Panasonic Lumix G9. However, I have recently invested in the Canon EOS R5 which I used for the first in Yellowstone 22. It’s a super camera and will get a lot of use.
In January 2024 I will be holding another exhibition at The Picture Gallery, Denbies Vineyard in Dorking Surrey. There will be over 100 framed prints each selling for £65-£100. All profits from sales will go to KSSX Air Ambulance and Leatherhead Link for Mid-Surrey Mencap. It would be wonderful to have your support at the exhibition but if you are unable to visit and are interested in buying a framed print, or even some cards, do please contact me through the ‘Contact Me’ page.
